Outline of Treatment approach
I have been practicing as a clinical psychologist for the past 30 years and have been in full time private practice for 30 years. Prior to that I worked in both educational and court settings for 10 years. I am a caring and versatile psychologist with a particular interest in anxiety disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder and depression. I use a client centred approach, employing treatments that best suit the problem and the client. Whilst cognitive behavioural therapy and/or solution-focused therapy may be used, this will be done in conjunction with an understanding of the client's background and the contributing factors leading to the current difficulties. My goal is to provide high quality evidence based therapy within a supportive environment.
