Outline of Treatment approach
Dr Sturrock is a scientist-practitioner who has over 20-years of experience working and studying in the area of mental health. She has been trained in various forms of psychological therapy, with a strong influence on the provision of CBT. During her doctoral training, she was placed at in-and out-patient settings where she treated patients of varying ages with moderate to severe mental health conditions. Dr Sturrock has further experience in the provision of a recently developed trans-diagnostic approach to therapy, called the Unified Protocol for Emotional Disorders that was specifically designed to treat clients with overlapping disorders. She has also undertaken training in Motivational Interviewing for the treatment of addiction, and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy for the treatment of Borderline Personality Disorder.
